Thane Krios will have a compromised Romance with Shepard thanks to Kepral's Syndrome, which will be further complicated halfway into the game. You're able to bring up the topic when you meet him, and in the Citadel DLC. Jacob Taylor, previously a serious Romance from Mass Effect 2, cannot have their Romance continued in Mass Effect 3. There are additionally four other characters who deserve special highlighting: Female Shepards: Garrus Vakarian, Kaidan Alenko, Thane Krios.
